Do you discount the bill for cash-paying patients, and if so, what is the discount?

We never use the word "Discount".  The insurance company's say we do not offer them a discount so why do we get away with it "Legally".  Your words to use are "Time of service fees".  The Time of service fee's are up to you.  We normally do a 12% reduction.

Yes, we do this in several ways and for several reasons.
1.  The patient may have reached their insurance maximum benefit and may have a discount card attached to the plan. This discount may be 20-30% off of the adjustments, total services provided, and/or up to 50% off of diagnostic procedures. AETNA and CIGNA offer this to their insureds.

2.  The patient may have applied to a discount plan such as Ameriplan, Chiropractic Lifecare, Chirocare, or Uni Plan. Again, these plans vary as the the discount.

Yes, 30% if paid the day of the visit. Otherwise, anything that has to be billed is not discounted.

Yes. Our fee schedule is driven by the Medicare fee schedule, and we charge cash patients 115% of the Medicare fee schedule.
